Blue Hand Mowers

Covid 19 – Operating Statement

In light of the Government’s new rules on staying at home and away from others and the three new measures introduced on the evening of Monday 23rd March 2020 which include:

  • Requiring people to stay at home, except for very limited purposes
  • Closing non-essential shops and community spaces
  • Stopping all gatherings of more than two people in public

Blue Hand Mowers has put the following measures into place with immediate effect:

  1. We will continue to work from home and repair machines already in the workshop

  2. We will deliver your machines when they are ready and will talk to you regarding dropping off arrangements.  These will include:
  • Giving you our bank account details and invoice amount so that you may pay online. This will avoid the necessity to handle money, cheques or cards therefore avoiding physical contact.
  • Once payment has been made, arranging a set time for drop off between the hours of 8 am and 10 am or 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm
  • Leaving your machine in a safe, convenient place for you to take-over once we have left. If you do not have online banking facilities, you can put a cheque or cash in an envelope at the drop off point

  • Wiping machines down with antibacterial wipes before we leave them with you

  • We will continue to take in other repair work in the coming weeks but please be aware of the following:

    • Some of our parts suppliers have now closed so some parts might be unavailable or slow to arrive

    • We ask customers to talk to us to arrange for us to collect machines on the basis described above

    • If you are travelling to work and wish to drop off a machine, please telephone us first to arrange a drop off time.  We ask that you drop machines off outside of the gate at a specified time. We will bring it in from outside of the gate as soon as you have left.  All machines will be wiped down before we start working on them.

    • All work on machines is carried out with the engineer wearing gloves

  • We ask that customers do not come through our gate at this time.  If you stand at the gate you should be able to attract Andy’s attention if he is in the workshop.  If not, please stay by the gateway and ring 0775 2035462

  • For those not travelling to work and in the vulnerable category, we will do our best to not charge for local delivery and collection

Thank you for your cooperation.
